Trash Can Man

Our Trash Can Man was rescued in the spring of 2019 after his mom killed
in a freak farming accident. Sadly, Trash had already become too habituated to humans to be released back into the wild. Trash was raised here by us and became a huge part of our lives. The knowledge we gained raising him and sharing our lives with a raccoon, completely changed our outlook on these ringed tailed bandits! Hence the start or actually the expansion our rescue to include wildlife, specially raccoons.

We lost our beloved Trash Can Man in May of 2023. There are no words to describe the loss of a raccoon, literally. Unless one has loved, cared and shared your heart and soul with one, that is the only way to understand.

Monkey

aka Monkey Butt, aka Monkey A Punk, come to us in the spring of 2020. Monkey was one of 5 baby raccoons that come in due to loss of their mother.
All the other sibling to Monkey were successfully released in the fall of 2020. Unfortunately, Monkey decided she just didn't want to raccoon. Fish - GAG (literally), Bugs - EWW, raw egg - throw up (again literally), Dirt -That a big NOPE! So, since Monkey decided living the wild life wasn't for her, she was spayed and
lived the pampered life as Trashs' bestie. We lost our Monkey the exact day Trashed passed away. In the most horrific display of pain and loss, our Monkey mourned herself to death in the exact spot on the floor that her beloved Trash Can Man passed away, only an hour and a half before. Humans have so much to learn from raccoons. It is my belief that a raccoons love is stronger than any other mammal on this planet. And that belief will never alter with me after that experance.

Zen, aka Zenny

11/12/2019 I said goodbye to a irreplaceable friend.  A friend that was there during the harder parts of my life. He was an amazing and beautiful soul, that never complained,
no matter how much pain he was in. Always available as my shoulder to lean on and a mane to cry into.
Never shall I meet a heart and soul as pure as my Zenny.  Run free my boy now that you have been released from all your pain.  I will miss you more than you will ever
know!

Gypsy

aka Wild Child

Gyspy come to us from another rescue, as an untouched, wild mustang out of Sierra Nevada Mountains.

Gypsy was the spitting image of a horse I had as a child, once I seen her photo, I knew, her forever home was here. In all the years Gypsy I spent together, she never "tamed" as many know the term. But we had a connection and a language all our own. She taught me so much in the years together. I truly believe I would not have the communication with animals, that I do, if she hadn't taught me how to listen.

Run free, my wild child, run free!
